Green Wastes may be disposed of at the TSSD for no charge to residents of cities serviced in the District. Commercial loads will be charged a minimum of $1.25 /cu.yd. Loads containing logs over 8" in diameter will be charged $3.00 / cu.yd (logs may not be more than 6 ft. in length). Dirty loads (mixed concrete, dirt, garbage, etc.) will be charged $2.50 / cu.yd. Dirty load fee applies to both commercial and residential loads. Green waste consists of materials such as lawn clippings, prunings, leaves, etc. Material to be disposed of must be free of dirt, rocks, etc. The TSSD is open for disposal 6 days a week (Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm) Compost for Sale As part of the compost project, the TSSD sells compost for use as fertilizer, soil conditioner, etc. The compost sold by the District is Class A EPA 503 Regulated compost. It can be safely applied anywhere. The compost is sold for $15.00 per cubic yard. Anyone interested in purchasing compost should contact the TSSD office. |
